FAQs

A few questions answered

1. Do you offer interior design for single rooms as well as full homes?

Yes. While some projects involve the design of an entire home, I am happy to work on individual spaces. The same approach applies whether I'm designing one room or a whole house.

2. Is there a minimum size for an interior design project?

No. I offer design support at different levels, from light-touch advice through to full interior design services. Many clients begin with a single room and return later for further spaces.

3. Is it worth hiring an interior designer for one room?

Absolutely. One well-designed space can significantly change how your home feels as a whole. A calm, resolved room often improves the flow and function of surrounding spaces too.

4. What types of homes do you design interiors for?

Primarily family homes. Projects often involve spaces that need to balance daily family life with a sense of calm and order.

5. Do you follow interior design trends?

I like to focus on timeless design rather than short-lived trends. The aim is to create interiors that feel settled, considered and relevant for years to come.

6. Can you design around existing furniture and layouts?

Yes. Where appropriate, existing furniture, layouts or features can be incorporated into the design. This often helps create a more personal and sustainable result. Each project is approached with practicality and intention, rather than starting from scratch unnecessarily.

7. How involved will I be in the interior design process?

That’s up to you. Some clients enjoy being closely involved in decisions, while others prefer clearer guidance and fewer choices. The process is shaped around your preferences, availability and confidence level.

8. How long does an interior design project usually take?

Timelines vary depending on scope. A single-room project may take a few weeks from initial consultation to final design, while full-home projects naturally take longer. Timescales are discussed clearly at the outset so expectations are aligned.

9. How do I get started with an interior designer?

The simplest way to begin is to get in touch. A brief conversation allows me to understand your space, your goals and the level of support you’re looking for, and to advise on the most suitable next step, with no pressure. The more information at the briefing stage the better!

10. What if I’m not ready to commit to interior design yet?

That’s completely fine. Some clients begin with some virtual guidance, while others take time to consider their options. I am happy to support you at a pace that feels comfortable.
